Rules of the Lawn

We mow according to the weather, specific grass conditions, and customers’ wishes — not according to the calendar.

We mow your grass so that it is 3.5-4 inches tall. This height prevents the germination of many weed seeds. Also, by fostering a large root system, it increases water/nutrients uptake.

We clear your lawn of sticks before mowing as they can interfere with mowing and damage mower.

We leave clippings, which serve as a natural mulch and help prevent weeds.

We avoid mowing after heavy rains as this makes mowing more difficult and causes clippings to bunch.

We change mowing directions every couple of mowings because doing so encourages a more natural appearance (rather than having lawn lay in one direction).

We sweep/blow grass clippings off sidewalks and driveways.
